Joy of Guidance Foundation

Joy of Guidance Foundation (JOGF) is a Section 8 not-for-profit organization focused on education and financial literacy to help individuals make informed, confident life decisions. As a SEBI SMART–aware entity, JOGF conducts ethical, awareness-driven programs that empower communities toward a secure and dignified future.

Our Journey

Our operations began around 2014, during a period marked by social and economic challenges. With limited resources but a strong sense of purpose, we started by supporting underprivileged students in Punjab, helping them manage small yet critical educational expenses and providing academic coaching to ensure continuity in their studies.

Parallelly, our humanitarian efforts extended to healthcare support. We assisted poor and vulnerable individuals in hospitals, including AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, by providing food and basic necessities to patients and their families during times of distress.

Scaling Impact & The COVID Turning Point

As our education initiatives expanded, COVID-19 emerged as a disruptive force that deeply affected livelihoods, education, and healthcare access. During this phase, we were approached by numerous individuals seeking support across multiple dimensions — education, food security, healthcare, and financial assistance.
While operating within our capacity constraints, we extended help wherever possible. More importantly, COVID reshaped our long-term thinking. It highlighted the urgent need for resilient systems in education and healthcare that could withstand future crises.

Leadership & Strategic Shift

At the core of this evolution was Himani’s clear and strategic vision for education reform. Having spearheaded the National Academic Depository (NAD) — a Ministry of Education initiative — across Northern India, she gained deep insights into systemic educational challenges.

During the pandemic, widespread layoffs and financial instability emerged as major barriers preventing students from continuing their education. This insight led to a strategic expansion of focus.

Financial Literacy, Inclusion & Scholarships

Recognizing that awareness and access are as important as availability, Himani initiated Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion programs for diverse target audiences. These initiatives were closely aligned with the Government of India’s Viksit Bharat agenda, emphasizing informed decision-making and economic empowerment.
Subsequently, she integrated her experience to guide underprivileged students toward corporate and institutional scholarship programs. With a PAN India network of trained facilitators, students were provided complete handholding — from awareness and eligibility screening to application support and follow-through.
Numerous corporate scholarship programs were carefully evaluated, and deserving students were enabled to successfully access financial support for education.
National Collaborations
Driven by her passion for education, Himani collaborated with Ankush Deshpande, Country Head – Protean eGov Technologies (NSDL eGov), and voluntarily mobilised students PAN India for multiple initiatives under Vidyasaarathi, further strengthening scholarship accessibility and outreach nationwide.
